BerTUDCA is a dietary supplement used to promote the healthy function of the liver, kidneys, eyes, and nervous system. It is primarily used to help prevent cirrhosis of the liver and other liver diseases.

BerTUDCA is synthesized to mimic the effects of Himalayan bear bile, which has been used in traditional and modern Chinese medicine for centuries. Government agencies in China have approved the bile for the treatment of infections such as COVID-19 and treatment of diseases such as gallstones, gastritis due to bile reflux, pancreatitis, viral hepatitis, fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease, drug-induced hepatitis, liver disease with cholestasis, and in the treatment of hemorrhoids.
In studies of the supplement, when administered to patients with cirrhosis and elevated liver enzymes, it caused a beneficial reduction of these enzymes in the blood in 100% of cases with no observed adverse side effects. 

Unlike Himalayan bear bile, which is extracted from captive bears through a strenuous medical procedure, BerTUDCA is 100% plant- and lab-derived, causing no harm to animals in the process. Berberine comes from a genus of goldthread plants, while the TUDCA is synthesized in a lab to prevent cruelty to Himalayan bear populations. 

BerTUDCA has had no reported adverse side effects, but we recommend talking to your doctor about this addition to your diet, especially if you have liver or kidney disease.
